Not exactly sure how she got it on her forehead, but Amelia loves the pasta I make with pasta shells, marinara sauce, italian sausage, and mozzarella cheese, almost as much as she loves feeding (painting) herself.

The Backyardigans!!!!

Amelia loves the Backyardigans, and watched it every day. It's a cartoon on Noggin about 5 animal kids who live in the same neighborhood and have adventures in their shared backyard. Unfortunately, it also has these annoyingly catchy songs that drive themselves into your head so you are singing them for days.

If Amelia were a cartoon character she'd be the Tasmanian Devil. No, wait, she'd be Foofa from Yo Gabba Gabba (like the theme song goes..."The Little Pink One." I love, love, love Yo Gabba Gabba...it's probably the weirdest kids show, but it's hilarious, and entertaining for Amelia and me.

And yes, even though we live in New Mexico, it is cold enough for a jacket and hat at night. Amelia's Alabama grandparents sent a gift card for her birthday, and we used it to buy this super cute jacket.

Fall is here!

We had our first day of fall weather today...it was about 62'F this afternoon, so I actually had to put a sweater on Amelia. Nothing too exciting to report...all 3 of us are sick with the flu/cold, but I took Amelia in the backyard today to get some fresh air, and she looked so cute in her sweater that I took a few pictures of her.

Ever since Grandma Sally sent Amelia a cell phone for her birthday, she has loved "talking" on the phone, and she will pretend to talk to anything!

Official One-Year-Old Pictures

I took these pictures today of Amelia, trying to get some of her smiling, but she was definitely more interested in the pumpkins!

New Word!

Amelia has mastered "Hi!" and the other night while we were practicing saying it with her, she burst out with a new word: "Bye!" And she learned how to say it twice, so she can say "Bye Bye." She even makes a cute face before saying it, with a huge frown just to get the "B" sound out, just like in the picture above.
